Departmental Honors Liaisons Your department's Honors Liaison serves as your best resource for finding out how Honors in the Major works in your department. Your liaison can provide you with full information regarding specific program requirements, as well as names of faculty who might be available to work on your committee, and even possible topics you might explore for your thesis. Because at some point or other the Liaisons see every student working on Honors in the Major in their department, they are also a good source of information on the types of research that others have done, which can serve as a framework when you are beginning your own. We have provided links to some of the specific requirements for each department for Honors in the Major. Some programs have requirements above and beyond what the Honors Office requires; it is helpful to know these things ahead of time so that you can plan accordingly. In addition, we have provided the contact information for the liaison for each department. If your department is not listed, this does not necessarily mean that they do not offer Honors in the Major. Please e-mail us for further information. *ALL STUDENTS WHO INTEND TO BEGIN AN HONORS THESIS MUST CONTACT THE HONORS IN THE MAJOR PROGRAM COORDINATOR BEFORE REGISTERING PLEASE SEND AN EMAIL TO HITM@FSU.EDU*
